Open House This Friday

To celebrate our new studio, we welcome you to join us on Friday December 4th for appetizers, a tour and a sneak peek of our new classes. The open house starts at 4:00 and ends at 7. Our instructors and trainers will be there to give trial training sessions and sample classes. Please feel free to bring a friend. You are welcome to participate or just watch.

1/2 marathon...any takers?

We are getting together in January to train for a 1/2 marathon on Sunday March 14th.

This would be a great motivator for anyone at Guiding Fitness that wants to improve mentally and physically.

You can either do it as an individual for $55 or you can get a partner and do a relay for $40 a person.

New Class Schedule

Here is our new class schedule. It will start in the first couple of weeks in December. We will have a launch date by next week.
This schedule will also be available on the website by the end of the week. We are still working out the morning schedule and will have it available shortly.

Monday:
4:00pm - Middle School Kid-Fit Class (1/2 hour)
5:00pm - Modern Aerobics (1/2 hour)
5:30pm - Pilates/Yoga (1 hour)
6:30pm - Body Blast Bootcamp (1 hour)

Tuesday:
4:00pm - Elementary School Kid-Fit Class (1/2 hour)
6:00pm - Zumba Weight Loss (1/2 hour)
6:30pm - TAB (thighs, abs, booty) (1/2 hour)

Wednesday:
5:30pm - TAB (1/2 hour)
6:00pm - Pilates/Yoga (1/2 hour)
6:30pm - High School Teen-Fit (1 hour)

Thursday:
6:00pm - Zumba Weight Loss (1/2 hour)
6:30pm - Body Blast Bootcamp (1 hour)

Friday:
5:00pm - Kickboxing (1 hour)

Saturday:
10:00am - Fun Run (1 hour)
11:00am.- TAB
11:30am - Jazzercise (1/2 hour)
12:00pm - Class of the Month (1 hour)

Reaching Goals Left and Right!!

We would like to mention how proud we are!!! Someone in our classes/training sessions reaches a goal almost every day!

Renee ran a lap around the park without stopping... and she loves to sprint (great acomplishment for someone that "doesn't run")!

Mallery can fit into her jeans without having to stretch!!

What can I say about Steffi?!?! She continuously impresses me! She shrunk into her new jeans already, passed MANY weight loss markers, runs like a maniac, and much more!

Patt is one of the strongest people that I have ever met! She NEVER makes excuses and always pushes herself! She is on her way to a much healthier and longer life!! Patt is our weight loss leader!!

Emily can now get her booty off of the ground in the reverse superman! Her next goal is to run a whole lap around the park without stopping.

These are a few examples of many. We will post more later!

What Class Times Would You Like?

As you know, we are moving into a larger stuido toward the end of the month..yay!

We are also adding some instructors, class types, class times, kid/teen fitness, and kid sitting.

Some of the classes that we hope to add are:
- Zumba
- Jump Rope
- Biker Blast
- Jazzercise
- Yoga/Pilates
...and more!

The Holidays

Hi all!!

The holidays have begun. Most gyms and fitness studios have a hard time surviving now until January 1st because their members get wrapped up in all of the craziness and don't make time to go to the gym. I'm going to tell you a little secret... THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT TIME TO STAY WITH YOUR PROGRAM... for many reasons. Here are a couple of them:

1. Working out helps you cope with stress that comes with the holiday season.
2. When you are consistently working out, you are more likely to eat less.
3. It is much easier to get back into the groove after new years.
4. Think about how much easier it will be to finally reach your new years resolution.

We are going to talk about this in more detail at our Guiding Fitness Support Group on Thursday night.
