Food Tips



     I HAVE SOME MORE HELPFUL HINTS TO CURB YOUR APPETITE WHILE TRYING TO MAKE HEALTHIER LIFE STYLE CHOICES. IF YOU WANT THE BEST RESULTS, COMBINE THESE TIPS WITH AN EXERCISE PROGRAM AT GUIDING FITNESS.
     STUDIES SHOW THAT IF YOU DRINK 20 OUNCES OF SKIM MILK FOR BREAKFAST, YOU WILL EAT LESS AT LUNCH.  FOR THOSE WHO DON'T DRINK MILK, TWO EGGS WILL WORK AS WELL.  THE REASON IS THE PROTEINS IN THESE PRODUCTS WILL HELP YOU FEEL FULL LONGER, NOT WANT TO SNACK AND EAT A SMALLER PORTION AT LUNCH.

Fire in downtown Lincoln

Update: Guiding Fitness will not be able to Instruct classes today due to several fires around town. We appologise for any inconvenience and will be back in business tomorrow.

Weekly challenge

We are going to start posting a challenge every week. Try your best to keep up!

I know most of us would rather eat dog poop than do cardio, but it is the key to your weight loss success. Not only does cardio strengthen your heart and lungs, it burns calories.

This week do at least 30 minutes of moderate to hard cardio every day. Play around with some different activities to see if you can find something you enjoy. Here are a couple of suggestions to help you get started.

- jogging and/or sprinting intervals. Sign up for a 5k to help keep you motivated.
- swimming
- jump roping
- mountain or distance biking
- outdoor games with the family (soccer, basketball, football, play catch, volleyball)

- skating
- hiking

80s Revived - New Class Offered In September!


1/2 Hour Class Coming in September. A flash back to the beginning, when sweat bands were plenty and hair was big. We give Richard Simmons and Jane Fonda a run for their spandex! Come try this fun 80s aerobic class with a modern twist.

Kacie is Back!!!

Hello everyone. As you know Kacie has been on vacation, but she is finally back. Make sure you welcome her back with open arms. Soon she will be taking on more classes and will be less stressed because her work load will be cut considerably by her faithful COO Mark Inman. If you have any questions or concerns please let him know.
